Yep, I’m still alive.  I realize that giving this entry that title is sure to make someone expect me to either link the song Still Alive from Portal or the song from Mirror’s Edge, but this was the first thing that came to mind and I’m just gonna roll with it.

Well anyway, I didn’t think it had been this long since my last update.  There is a small handful of stuff to go on about as to why I hadn’t made another entry here, or even another video, or an update on the planned podcast, but the long story short is this… I still have quite a bit to learn. I may make a follow-up post detailing the making of my Stupid Things video.

Thinking of the next video has been kinda’ tricky.  There’s a lot I want to do, but it’s hard to pick an idea that’s simple enough but I can still have fun with.  Whatever the next one is, it’ll likely be voiceover-driven just so I can keep things basic.  I do plan on appearing on-camera sometime, so don’t get the impression that I’m camera shy 😛

I actually enjoy being on camera.  I used to make videos in high school with a friend, I even made some in my own time.  This was before Youtube, and the videos were done without software.  It was mostly us winging it and doing whatever we could to make the other laugh.  Eventually, after my attempts at improvising, I started doing little unplanned shows which were also improvised.  I always filmed whatever came to mind and had fun messing around.  Yes, it sounds silly; yes, I acted dorky; and yes, I’m still a virgin.

As you can probably imagine, I’m both excited and also kind of scattered on making videos.  On top of that, I’m still learning things, mostly music stuff.  I have a nice collection of classical music thanks to musopen, so I’m thinking I should use that until I’m ready to compose stuff.

To put it simply, I’ll be busy.  Not just with this, but also typical real world stuff.  Finding a job has been strenuous, but I’m hoping that making content will get me confident enough to find something in said real world.  Of course it’d be fun to do this for a living, but I’m still learning things and am in the early stages so that’s no gonna happen.  In the mean time, I’ll be dedicating time to planning and producing stuff on my dailymotion, I’ll continue writing here, and there will be plenty more fun to be had.  Even if things seem quiet, there will be progress.
