I’ve been diving back into comedy writing lately.  From reading about it to practicing it, It’s something I’ve been interested in for a long time.  I’m always making notes, I improvise a lot, and I’m always thinking of ways I could turn my stream-of-consciousness stuff into videos.  In fact, a lot of what I’m learning is meant to help me refine ideas for content.  While I do have fun putting my personality into blog posts, creating content is the main goal.

The idea of learning how to write jokes is still new to me, but I’m determined to make some progress.  Writing jokes will be tricky, ’cause even though I always loved making friends and classmates laugh, I was never a total class clown.  Those times when I made someone laugh, though, did give me a sign, and it opened up my mind* to something.  Learning about comedy writing, for me, isn’t just about making someone laugh.  It’s about being me.

There’s definitely more I can go into (and this was originally much longer), but I’ll write anything related to this as separate entries in the coming days.  I hope others will enjoy this, as it’ll encourage me to write more consistently and talk about any progress I make.  And since I have a lot to learn, it’ll be fun growing my sensibilities and watching where this goes from here.  Until then, stay cool and stay tuned.

*…and I am happy now living without you.  I’ve left you oh-oh-ooooh I saw the sign.  And it opened up my eyes I saw the sign!
