This was going to be an update on the Facebook page, but it makes more sense as a behind-the-scenes entry for everyone to see here, as I’m more detailed in blog post-style updates compared to Facebook updates.

Anyway, I would first like to thank everyone who has recently followed the blog! I do a lot of variety here in terms of life topics and entertainment while bringing my own spin to things, so there’s plenty of surprises in store. I’m always brainstorming new things to go into and expand on, including new series and monthly themes. With October starting soon, it only feels right to give a little announcement on what’s coming up.

Last year, I had a lot of fun writing Halloween-themed entries throughout October. I did one per week and mostly went into how the holiday shaped my childhood. But this time, I’ll be doing multiple blog entries for each week leading up to Halloween, and the topics will be more varied.

I won’t reveal too much about the entries themselves at this point, but I will say that there’ll be a lot of tributes, thoughts on topics related to the horror genre, relevant personal experiences, and reviews of some of my favourite nostalgic horror films. It’s tempting to include a review of the upcoming Halloween movie on the 19th, but with the idea of horror films from my childhood being the main focus, it would be a little out of place to suddenly have something more current.

Still, it would be very odd for me, a big horror buff, to not say anything at all about the new Halloween movie, so I might do a little spoiler-free review on the Facebook page. I could always go more in-depth with a blog post on it at a later point if, for example, I do a review of every movie in the franchise. Future marathon as a future idea, ya know?

Overall, this is going to be a good time. I love the season and already feel the Halloween mood, despite the fact that it’s just a little over four weeks away. Must be the whole thing of stores having Halloween stuff out for the last couple or few weeks, but hey I’m not complaining.

Also, there will be a very special blog entry to celebrate a little milestone after October finishes, so there’s that too. Simply put, there’s a lot in store and just thinking about it makes me wanna run around the place in excitement. Kind of like this guy.
